Invincible Louisa by Cornelia Meigs

Title: Invincible Louisa

Author: Cornelia Meigs

Learn the story behind the story of the author of the classic story, Little Women. Be with her to the ups and downs of her life as she earns her name "Invincible Louisa".

Summary: The story starts on Louisa's birthplace; Germantown, Philadelphia; on a cold November day. The story begins as Louisa grows as a toddler until she died at age 55 on March 6, 1888. Read the story to know where the characters from her book came from and from where did Little Women came. Learn if there really is a Laurie in Louisa's life. You will know this when you read Invincible Louisa by Cornelia Meigs.

My Comments:

What I like about the book: First off all, I love Louisa! She resembles a lot of my character and hobbies. I just love to know how her story is a book itself! i also love the tests and trials that she faced which are written in the book.

What I don't like about the book: I think I would love to know more on what happened to her sisters after, *spoiler*, she died.

My Suggestion: I think this book should be advertise along with the "
Little Women" book.

Crocheted Dresses

Hi there! Good to see you guys again! I haven't posted my new note-BOOK yet, but I am already working on it. I am starting to write about examining humanity since it is my topic for this quarter. In the meanwhile (AGAIN>>>), here are four crocheted dresses I made from oldest to the most recent

Charidel
The very first baby crocheted dress that I crocheted. I gave it to my Dad's goddaughter, Charidel, for her dedication day.

Anika
This was my very first crocheted baby dress SOLD. I made many mistakes here, (for this was my own pattern), but it turned out great! I sold it to my Mom's boss' granddaughter. The baby's name was Anika.

Garden Fairy
I tried to repeat the Anika pattern I made and thought it would flare. I made a good mistake while crocheting the Anika dress before, (That is why the Anika dress was flary), but this time I made it shorter for my cousin in U.S.

Eliana
This was made for my Moms goddaughter again for the baby's dedication. The baby's name is Eliana.

Hope you enjoyed them. I might post the pattern of one of the dresses. The first dress, Charidel, was followed by a free pattern on the net. I kinda didn't understand the pattern since that was my first time to try crochet a piece, so I didn't really understand the pattern much at that time.

Here's the link to the original Solomon's Knot dress pattern:
